Voluntary Pay Reduction Authorization Form Now Available (1/26/2010)
Individuals who wish to take a temporary pay reduction in lieu of furloughs, have until February 8, 2010 to elect this option through completion of the Online Voluntary Pay Reduction Authorization Form. For further information on the Furlough and Voluntary Pay Reduction programs, please visit the Furlough website.

University Furlough Program Announced (1/5/2010)
On January 5, 2010, President Ikenberry announced the implementation of a furlough program and other cash-conservation measures for the remaining months of the 2010 fiscal year. Further information can be found on the President's website as well as within the Furlough Policy section of the University Human Resources site.

Dependent Student Age Limit Change Effective 1/1/2010 (12/22/2009)
The dependent student age limit increased effective January 1, 2010. Please see the Dependent Benefits Information section for further information.

UniCare HMO is leaving the State of Illinois HMO Provider Network (12/22/2009)
UniCare HMO is leaving the State of Illinois HMO provider network as of December 31, 2009. UniCare HMO participants that did not make a change during the Special Enrollment Period have 60 days from January 1, 2010 to submit a change in their health care plan.

E-Verify - Critical Information Regarding Your Employment (12/17/2009)
A recently enacted federal rule requires the University to begin using E-Verify. As part of this process, employees hired after November 6, 1986 will soon need to complete a new Form I-9. Further information about this process will soon be communicated; however, you should prepare now for the Form I-9/E-Verify process.
