Vision Insurance

EyeMed

The State of Illinois vision plan assists with the costs of vision care and encourages maintenance of vision through regular eye examinations. Periodic eye examinations can detect and prevent ailments not only in the eyes, but also throughout the whole body. The EyeMed plan helps with vision care expenses when glasses or contact lenses are required.

Key factors about the vision plan:

  • This plan provides coverage for eye exams, eyeglass lenses and frames, or contact lenses.
  • The most comprehensive benefits are provided when services are received from plan member providers; however, benefits are also available for services received from nonmember providers.
  • Under this plan, an eye exam is payable once every 12 months. A benefit for eyeglass lenses and frames (or contacts) is payable once every 24 months.

To find a member eye care provider, call the plan administrator, EyeMed, at 866-723-0512 or visit their website at www.eyemedvisioncare.com/stil.
