The Counseling Center has developed a series of self-help brochures on topics ranging from stress management to dysfunctional relationships. The brochures are available to students, faculty, and staff at their office (610 John Street, 110 Student Services Building, Champaign, IL 61820) or can be read online. Campus Wellbeing Services

The University of Illinois and its administration value your personal health and well being. Campus Wellbeing Services is dedicated to providing awareness, education, and support for healthy lifestyle habits. This site provides information on general wellness, as well as financial, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and environmental wellness.

Division of Campus Recreation

Nutrition & Wellness Center at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago, programs for Weight Management

The Nutrition & Wellness Center at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago, programs for Weight Management are multidisciplinary, medically supervised weight loss programs for overweight and obese patients. Our programs are housed in the Nutrition & Wellness Center at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago.

Our treatment philosophy is based on the knowledge that obesity is not necessarily only due to an increase in caloric intake. Scientific studies have demonstrated that obesity results from predisposing lifestyle patterns that may lead to serious medical problems. Therefore, we offer both medically supervised programs and a life-style focused non-medically supervised programs to improve health through sustained weight loss based on reasonable long-term goals.

UIC National Center of Excellence in Women's Health Regional Resource Inventory

The UIC National Center of Excellence in Women's Health provides an online searchable database of women's health resources in the Chicagoland area.

UIC Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation offers state-of-the-art facilities, fun and exciting programs, and provides educationally sound and healthy services, all focused on providing our university community a complete recreational experience. Campus Recreation is a valuable resource for students, faculty/staff, and our other constituents who wish to pursue a healthy lifestyle.

Through participation in various programs, participants can gain a multitude of personal benefits including improved levels of physical fitness and wellness, improved opportunities for social interaction, improved time management skills, the opportunity to engage in a group dynamic setting, the opportunity for a healthy means of stress relief, as well as the creation of a sense of ownership and belonging between students and the UIC community.
